STRATEGIES FOR EARLY AGES
People say that there is no better time to learn a new language than as a child, and that's a fact!
OAKS School has designed successfull courses to teach children between the ages of 6 to 11 and get them to speak, write, listen and understand in a fun-filled environment. The curriculum is outlined to provide a solid foundation in the fundamental skills of English using methods that are well suited for the way children learn. The classes are filled with activities that are both fun and educational.
Your child will learn integrated skills, which are critical to creating a solid foundation for future development in English. He will also learn the correct pronunciation for every word and phrase. OAKS School will also impart important facts about American history, culture, and geography.

ENGLISH COURSES STRUCTURE
Children of this age learn a language quickly. Under the guidance of an experienced OAKS School teacher, your child will soon be understanding how to conjugate verbs in different tenses, making up perfect sentences using words learned by studying and playing with other children. Numbers, colors, foods, animals, and clock time are some of the things that your child will be able to identify and use in English. All this will help them to develop effective speaking skills such that they can be understood for academic and social purposes including conversations, classroom discussions and oral presentations. There might be enjoyable school conversation training outside of the classroom to places around the school.
Average hours of contact time with OAKSS teachers vary. If your child is a single module OAKSS student, you can expect at least 2 hours a week and slightly longer in your child's following live in-field conversation training as the child takes on a heavier study workload. The rest of the time your child is expected to conduct independent study and assignments as well as tackling the reading list.
KEY SKILLS AND ASSESSMENT METHODS
Exams are also common, often coming during and at the end of each course level. In some cases your child may also be partly assessed based on your contributions to group discussions.
